Easy Snack: Dark Chocolate Chip Protein Balls

 

Whether you’re looking for a post-workout snack, a mid-day pick-me-up, or a healthier dessert option, these protein balls have got you covered. So next time you’re in need of a sweet and satisfying snack, give these dark chocolate chip protein balls a try – your taste buds and your body will thank you!

Ingredients:

1 cup almond flour

1/2 cup cashew butter

1/4 cup honey

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 scoop (1/2 cup) vanilla protein powder (I used Garden of Life Sport Organic Plant-Based Protein)

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp sea salt

2 tbsp hemp seeds

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (I used Lily’s Dark Chocolate Baking Chips)

(optional): coconut flakes or pumpkin seeds

 

Steps:

  1. Using a medium size bowl, add all ingredients and mix together.
  2. Spoon about 2 tbsp of mixture and roll into a ball. You can also roll the balls in coconut flakes or pumpkin seeds.
  3. Store in refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to one week. Enjoy!
